In 1873, some residents of the Welland area believed a road should be built from Port Colborne. That petition survives today. There are quite a few names on this petition that married into various branches of the family. Isaac Haney, the subject of this blog, is not on there, but many people related to that family are there.
Mathew Franklin Haney, a signer below, is a cousin. The Schooley, Zavits, and Fry family marry into various branches of the family. They may be related to some of the other families.
For this reason, I am posting it. Perhaps it will be beneficial to a cousin doing research.
